Walls of Byzantine and Constantinople Tour Istanbul
Our full day tour of Byzantine and Constantinople tour starts from your hotel in Istanbul. We will pick you up at 9am and start our sightseeing from the walls of Istanbul and we stop by Yedikule Fortress, walls and dungeons with Golden gate of Byzantine with a history of 1800 years.
Next stop will be the defence walls also known as Theodosius and we will see Saint Mary Church and Chora Church by outside, 4 and 5th centuries. We will visit Byzantine Palace of Blacherna, (known as Tekfur Palace) the only palace left from Byzantine today.
Our next stop is Balat area, boutique streets, Saint Maria Church from 7th century which is the only church from Byzantine in use today. We will see the Patriarch of Orthodox Saint George Church and Kariye Mosque (Church) from 13th century.
At the last part of our tour we will see Zeyrek mosque (Pantakrator church) and Zeyrek cistern from 12th century. We will finish our tour by visiting one of the most important monuments, Valens Aquedoct, water supply system of Constantinople (4th century).
